Markus Synergy Integrated Farms
Preamble: Markus Synergy Integrated Farms is a new small to medium sized farm situated
at Akim Akim Odukpani LGA, Cross Rivers State. The farm has a feeds production plant,
cows, goats and a poultry with new and modern machinery and equipment for optimal
operations. Apart from the CEO, the GM and the Technical/Administration Officer, the farm
currently has a machinist, a farmhand, a herder and an axillary worker as staff. From time
to time the farm employs day workers as needed.
There are plans to extend the farm next year into crop production; the crops will mainly
service the production of the animal feeds.
Summary: The Farm Manager is responsible for leading the team to manage the
production of animal feeds, animals, farm and the general environment of the farm. The
farm manager will also supervise the production of the crops form next year.
The Manager must have a can-do attitude, be able to lead and motivate employees, and
keep track of feeds and supplies.
Minimum of 3 years of farm work experience
Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agriculture, Animal Science, Animal
food production and a certificate in business management.
Knowledge of Animal feeds production.
Knowledge of dairy production and animal health maintenance.
Ability to work long hours and be flexible in busy seasons.
Strong employee management skills.
Strong computer skills; with ability to manage an inventory and basic accounting
Good communication skills.
Team building skills.
High integrity, Honesty and transparency levels
Ability to build & maintain relationships with supervisors, the company Board, clients
and other stakeholders.
Direct report: CEO
Supervises: Farmhands, Machinists, Herdspersons, Feeders, Packers and Cleaners and
Leads and organizes farm employees, including hiring, training, appraisals and
Coordinates the feed production and market distribution chain.
Tracks and manages feed production and stock inventory.
Oversees maintenance, performance and procurement of equipment to keep farm
Manages the growth and well-being of poultry and other animals on the farm.
Maintains a positive attitude (or provides effective leadership with a positive attitude)
Acts as a team player.
Ability to lift up to 50kg weight when required.
Provides safety training and ensure compliance with safe work procedures.
Produces reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Ensures use of proper metrics and standard quality for feed production.
Ensures safety bagging, storage and distribution of produced animal feeds.
Other duties as may be assigned by the CEO.
